The Ernest J. Gaines Center at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, in conjunction with the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, is hosting the Second Annual Ernest J. Gaines Summer Teaching Institute June 8-June 12, 2015 for educators who would like to learn more about Ernest Gaines’ writings and how to incorporate the writings into their classrooms. The deadline to apply for the Second Annual Ernest J. Gaines Summer Teaching Institute is March 18, 2015. The institute will be limited to 10 participants, and each participant will receive a $200 stipend and a certificate showing their participation for professional development purposes.
