Due to the extended severe winter weather this week, the North Baton Rouge COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic has been rescheduled to February 26 and 27 for residents’ safety.

Eligible North Baton Rouge residents are encouraged to protect themselves against COVID-19 by scheduling an appointment. The community vaccination clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27 at Living Faith Christian Center, 6375 Winbourne Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70805.

Vaccines are by appointment only and are no cost to the patient. To schedule a vaccine, call the East Baton Rouge Council on Aging Call Center at 225-831-9200 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Therefore, anyone looking for more information on COVID vaccines, including pharmacies where they can receive a vaccine, can go to COVIDVaccine.la.gov. The website includes information on current priority groups, vaccine provider locations, adverse reactions, and links to other vaccine topics. The page also has a vaccine community toolkit that includes FAQs and social media graphics optimized for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Vaccine data is available on the COVID-19 dashboard.

LDH is confident that COVID-19 vaccines will be critical to ultimately ending the pandemic. In addition to the vaccines, to put the pandemic behind us all Louisianans need to practice handwashing, social distancing and mask wearing. CDC now says tight-fitting is better than loose, multiple layers are better and two masks are better.
